Sabine is a wonderful lady. I took German 276 with her, and overall it is a very good class taught very well. Couldn't recommend her more!

She's the sweetest. The course is in weekly different units like black-German hip-hop, Turkish German experience, climate change, etc. 3 assignments throughout this semester: 2 small writing projects & a final project (no final exam). If you put in effort and show that you pay attention, you will get an A.

I am not sure why Sabine's rating is low she is probably one of the nicest professors you will meet. She is very patient and the homework assignments are an easy A and aren't too time consuming. The quizzes are open note and are pretty straightforward if you payed attention in class. She also genuinely cared about our learning too and gave good ex.

This class was very fun and relaxing. Sabine made everything accommodating and helped us all. Good time.

I liked Sabine compared to other profs in UW German. She didn't give us a lot of busywork and was very flexible and accommodating. I always enjoyed coming to class.

German 362 with Dr. Moederscheim was the worst course I have taken at UW - Madison, hands down. Not one of the students who actually stayed in the class past the first week could tell you what we were supposed to learn this semester. Class periods consisted of us being put into silent breakout rooms with 5 minutes full group discussion at the end

Sabine was incredibly dull in this online class, and all she would do is put us into break out rooms to talk. We never went in depth with anything. It was a lot of reading really surface level things, resulting in a course where I didn't really learn anything. She was also not super accepting of other interpretations of the readings.

Sabine is one of my favorite teachers ever. She's extraordinarily laid back, attendance is mandatory but there's almost never homework. You'll have to give a presentation and write a paper - that's it.
