I was randomly thinking of how great a teacher Dr. W was (years after taking class). I couldnt recall his name other than the first letter and didnt see it on the UW faculty page, so I came here and found it. I googled his name to see if he had moved. Unfortunately Prof W passed away in 2018 at 50. Its really sad, but he was THE BEST prof I had.Rate My Professors ↗

Amazing professor. On the easier side but you will have an amazing foundation the subject. Tests were very fair, bell curve. Honors project was fair as well. Office hours are key, he helps so much and wants you to ask questions (but not in class). One of my favorite profs. Awesome!Rate My Professors ↗
Westerhoff's lectures are to die for and his exams are to die from. The class was curved pretty heavily to account for the difficulty of exams, but don't expect to feel good about yourself walking out of exams. That said, he is very clear in his explanations and will never bore in lecture. PS go to lecture.Rate My Professors ↗
Not just an incredible lecturer and brilliant, Prof. Westerhoff is one of the kindest professors on campus. He really shows an interest in your success.
