Kou is great. He is funny and makes the class enjoyable. He is a pretty lenient grader, so if you put any amount of effort you will pass.

Prof. Kou gives homework daily, but the questions challenge you to think about the process being discussed in common sense terms. His exams are similar in style. He knows the material well and makes the class a joy to attend. The focus is on learning, not solving banal problems or taking copious notes. Kou has trouble hearing, but is still great.
