I had Scott for ProCom this past semester, and I thought he was hilarious. Most people seemed to not like his sense of humor, but I personally loved it. With the new overhaul of the ProCom classes, I think he did a wonderful job testing to see what works and what doesn't. For a man who teaches professional communication, this man is pretty awkward. He has a unique sense of humor that is very hit-or-miss. Other interesting qualities include admitting his assignments have no practical application in the business world and leaving the classroom for significant periods of time. Take ProCom over the summer. Although it is the worst 3 weeks ever you get it over with and only focus on what's actually important. His assignments are a little vague but if you ask him he is very helpful. Great sense of humor and overall cool guy.Rate My Professors ↗
A lot of people shrug this class off as an easy A (and it pretty much is) but if you put the effort into it, you get way more out of the class than you thought you would. His feedback on presentation evaluations is very helpful. He's such a nice guy too - brought the class bagels on one of the last days of class. Easy class, but great guy.Rate My Professors ↗
He presents some information in class that is helpful for the real world, but his directions for assignments are vague. Asking questions about what he wants for projects helps, but sometimes it still felt like I didn't know if I was doing the project right. He is an easy grader as long as you put in decent effort.
