Coyle is easily the best professor in Biochem 501. His lectures are actually really engaging and this might also be partially because of a easier unit. He tries to make his content easy to learn as well unlike the other three professors in the class. The course is graded almost only on 4 exams but they are noncumulative and easy if you study.Rate My Professors ↗

I took biochem 501 alongside zoology 570, and this unit was super easy because of it. The exams are fair and his lectures were engaging and fun. My favorite lecturer in 501 by far!Rate My Professors ↗

Dr. Coyle is amazing! Engaging lecturer, funny, great at explaining, and just a great guy. Very dense and fast-paced lectures, so I would either review ahead or rewatch afterward to go over material again and retain it. He's super available outside of class, answers all your question, and sets clear expectations for material. Best 501 professor!Rate My Professors ↗

Engaging, funny, genuine, talented teacher, and an all-around good dude. Lectures are dense and move fast, so do yourself a favor by downloading/printing the slides in advance. Explains things very straightforwardly (well, as straightforward as you can get in biochem). I wish I had a Dr. Coyle for all my classes!Rate My Professors ↗

Dr. Coyle had very engaging lectures. The lectures were definitely dense and had a lot of information. The lectures are fast paced, but not too difficult to follow along. He did a great job of clearly explaining things and emphasizing what you need to know. By far the best professor in Biochem 501.Rate My Professors ↗
