Samina is very sweet, but her lectures are almost painful to sit through. The slides are way too dense and there is too much information to absorb in the time given. It's almost as if she's speaking a stream-of-consciousness on the topic rather than teaching. The average test score is low but she curves high.Rate My Professors ↗
She is a very sweet person and super accommodating if you need the recordings you can just ask, but her exams are SO SO hard and it is nearly impossible to complete the study guide. I attended most lectures but found myself just copying the super dense slides. She did get thrown into the course last minute so it may improve with time.Rate My Professors ↗
The class material is interesting, yet Samina makes it quite boring. The weekly assignments are online & easy, but average exam scores for this class were terrible. Samina makes a super interesting topic quite literally the most boring and difficult class I have taken thus far. To be fair, she does seem like a good person who got thrown into teaching this at the last minute. Because of this, her slides are impossible to follow and the class is disorganized. Part 1: Samina found a way to make an easy class difficult. Her lecture notes contain useless/confusing examples & speaking notes for herself rather than things that are useful to look back on. Her voice is monotoned & the lectures are unbearable to get through. You're better off skipping the lectures & learning the material through the textbookRate My Professors ↗
The class just wasn't structured well at all. Going to lectures was really boring and mostly not worth one's time. The study guides for the exam are helpful, but like 40 pages altogether and was way too much. The course content was interesting. The class had easy ways to get a good grade, however.
