One of the best professors at UW! Class is super chill, has a steady amount of assignments 1 per class.
This class is very disorganized. His grading criterion (no rubric) was not present and not very consistent, and his instructions were super unclear. He changed the three grades in class, 'midterms', shortly before their due dates, and assigned long essays that were never graded. If you are to take a class with him, avoid annoying him.
A teacher without a plan, makes you not care for the class. But he will make something out of the blue and make something due by the end of the week.
Do not recommend this professor. Tons of busy work with no correlation to projects, and brutal to mental health. Singled me out when I got sick and forced me out of group projects, resulting in an inequity among students.
Super cool guy. Class is engaging since it isn't your typical lecture. Minimal work in class but still a steady amount of assignments.
TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR BEFORE YOU GRADUATE!! Seriously the easiest professor I have had here and has such a kind, caring heart. He is willing to accommodate you so you achieve success in the class. Attendance is taken each class however you won't want to skip. Small journal entries is the homework for each class.
I LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!! Eng155 is super weird and definitely not a typical English class but he is a really interesting guy who has figured out teaching by immersion rather than through graded assignments. I would recommend the Classical Myth FIG to anyone and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a different kind of teaching experience
Not great - does not ask very engaging questions and does not ask much from the students.
This class was nothing like expected. Being in the FIG was amazing, but the description of the class is inaccurate. He wastes time, you get nothing done, and nothing is really relevant to what I expected. Grading is laughably easy. He is a very odd man. Very disorganized; not prepared. Final was assigned the last day. Kind, but a poor teacher.
Easy but pointless class. He avoids the texts as if he hasn't read them himself. Lots of busywork with vague instructions. I enjoyed some of the plays, but don't expect for him to add anything practical in lecture.
This class was extremely easy but very unorganized. If that bothers you, then don't take it. I was always unsure of what we would do every day before I came to class. Prof Harris was very nice and helpful, and you can tell he cares a lot. Papers are easy and seldom, but you have to do a daily journal (like a paragraph) that's a little annoying.
Nice guy and very helpful. Kind of weird, but still likable.
Easiest class I've ever had, but Ron likes to draw things out and beat them to death. Class can be boring but attendance is graded. He really wants you to do well and is very helpful, but talks about sex all the time. Very uncomfortable.
this class was very scattered, little organization. show up having done the reading (or not), participate in discussion once in a while, turn everything in, and you'll do fine.
He's kind of weird. He likes to talk about sex. His assignment are odd, but you'll do well if you make an attempt.
He assigns lots of busy work, but if you do it, you get an A.
