Professor Anex is a great professor. Yes, he makes his classes difficult but he is also extremely accessible outside of class to help and makes a big effort to make students learn. he is the best professor i have encountered at UW and the only reason why he has a low rating is because he actually challenges his students.

I had anex for BSE 249 and though I will say that he was enthusiastic during his lectures, I would not recommend him to others. Test questions seem to want to trick you instead of testing your knowledge of the topics. Only a few people get A's in the class. Lecture environment is a little fearful, as he describes most of the topics to be simple.

Took 249. Bad teacher! Lectures are hard to follow and make little sense. Grading on exams is very tough. Self taught most of the material.

Rob's fine. That's it really. As he teaches it feels as if he is teaching himself at the same time. The number of mistakes he makes while explaining things makes it more confusing. 'No stupid questions' is not true for him. He encourages questions, but make sure yours isn't dumb. Make a group chat with class members, it's the only help you'll get.

Annex is very knowledgable about the courses, however very bad at translating that information to students, disrespectful towards students, lectures dont really help with homework alot, bad professor overall

The worst professor period!!!

The worst professor I have ever had. The content on circuit is taught to high school kids. I cannot believe this class is a core course in the department. His unclear and disorganized teaching really makes me want to transfer my major. I did not learn anything except algebraic manipulation of equations. I don't want spend my big money on this.

Avoid as all cost!!. Transfer your major if need be. He just doesn't know how to explain things so that people would understand. The class is completely disorganized. After I finished this class, my mind was filled with confusions. I don't think this class is useful at all in my career. He is simply the worst professor I have ever had.

Absolutely the worst professor on UW campus. The entire class is disorganized. We are assigned to watch video lectures before going to class. The content in the video lectures are very very poorly explained. I come away with confusions every time. He also did a very bad job in explaining the content in the video lectures in the real lectures. Avoid

Prof. Anex is a good professor. He makes you to learn by yourself. It is unfortunate that students do not understand his intention. One of the good professor to work with

Worst professor and worst class I have had during my four years at Madison. Lectures are vague and not helpful. In-class problems often require work outside of class. Gives no partial credit on exams which is ridiculous. When asked questions he gives the most demeaning or condescending responses. It's a shame because 349 required for BSE majors.

Worst professor I've had. Relies on videos that don't convey the information well. Condescends to students. Can't even ask him a question. It sucks because he teaches required courses for BSE.

One of the most disorganized classes I've ever taken. He sped through lectures, making it very hard to keep up and know what information was important. He made it demeaning to ask questions and was a hard professor to approach with questions. The actual exams did not resemble the practice exams given. Slightly conceded.

Talks down to students. Disorganized. Just reading the lecture slides was more helpful than actually going to class and listening to his terrible lectures. Also, his voice and speech pattern were super irritating.

Don't expect lectures to be helpful, they are impossible to follow and lack basic structure. He mixes important info with useless info and expects you to sort it out. Any one who asks a question is made to feel inferior. Homework is almost exclusively in excel and is therefore not representative of exams. Class could be interesting if taught better

Most disorganized course I've ever taken. He zips through lecture slides faster than you can write and you never know what information he expects you to learn. He often goes off and tangents and wants participation, but when you answer, he shoots you down. First exam was a breeze, second one was very difficult. Interesting stuff, very unpredictable
