So many readings in such a short time. I had 3 days to watch a movie and read 4 different articles, and it's like this before every lecture, and are required. It's hard to make time for all this when you're taking several other challenging classes. I'd stay away from this class for whatever you're trying to fill. Or at least away from this prof.

This revew is

Since everyone wants get an easy A from this class as literature credits, she is really a tough grader and I am not sure why she sets high standards for each essay. If you want to take this class, get ready to write a lot of brilliant essays. The attendance matters, she takes everything seriously, so you must be serious too.

I liked her lectures a lot! Be aware that you are graded on whether you attend lectures and discussions. There are also a LOT of readings, but you can get by without reading every single one because the papers have pretty much nothing to do with the readings. Overall, it was an interesting (and easy lol) class.

Boring.

Despite this class being very new in UW, I love it! Rania is extremely helpful outside the class. I did my essay review with her, and she gave very helpful tips to meet her expectations. Really responsive through emails. Classes can get a little bland but not too bad. Readings can get heavy, just prepare ahead of time. Very easy class.

One of the most patient and flexible teachers I've ever had. I had to go to a consulate to talk about my visa and she allowed me to send photos to prove I did my hw, and let me make up my class online. She is clear about what will be on exams, gives great review sections, and has a wonderful grasp on what she's teaching.

Professor Huntington is one of the best I've ever had. She really cares about her students and is passionate about the subject matter. The class is difficult, but not unbearably so. I would absolutely recommend her.

Maybe the greatest course I ever take.

You need to show up to lecture and discussion. Also have weekly short discussion posts and two easy essays. The lectures arent too dull either. She really tries to engage the class, and sometimes the reading topics were interesting. Easy A.

Professor Huntington is an eclectic teacher that seems to really love Chinese literature and Chinese culture in general. I never really had any interest in Chinese literature or a literature class at all, but she made the lecture enjoyable and fun! The class is an easy A if you show up, which makes the class even better!!

Such a passionate professor: her enthusiasm is infectious. I went into office hours once and we had a great discussion. The class itself is easy - do some online discussion posts, show up to class, throw in your 2 cents in discussion and the majority of the grade is accounted for. The essays are a perfectly reasonable length and leniently graded.

She is a great professor. While she is tough, she really makes you feel valued as a student. Also, she is so helpful outside of class. I highly recommend going to her office hours if you have questions.

I took 3 of her classes (EA 321, EA 322, and EA 371 Journey to the West). Rania Huntington is an excellent professor. She's very passionate about the subject and helpful outside of class (from giving students research materials for projects to job recommendations). She gives a lot of B's, but will make you work very hard for an A.

Rania is great: gives a lot of feedback, listens to the students, knows her stuff incredibly well and classes are very well organized.

Rania is a wonderful professor who is a blast to listen to and always there for questions and feedback. She is extremely knowledgeable in her subject area and approaches classical Chinese in a very manageable way. Look forward to taking this course if you are a Chinese major as you will find it very enjoyable.

Rania is a great teacher who really knows the Classical stories we studied. Obviously its Classical Chinese so its not that interesting but its easy enough if you put in the effort to study for tests and prepare for class. Tip- write out the lesson with space below to write the Eng translation right below the Chinese characters.

Just do all online posts and attend all lectures - you will be fine then. She doesn't really care what your essay is about or how bad your essay is - so it makes the class one of the easiest literature class one can ever take. A pretty amusing A lol.

Interesting, quirky, and a bit eccentric, but super nice and understanding. Extremely passionate about classical Chinese literature. Class was pretty boring unless you're as passionate about classical Chinese as she is. Easy class overall.

Very intereting visiting professor, who's generous on giving good grades while low study load.
