Great professor, very passionate. Lectures are sometimes dry and often go a few minutes past the time. Exams were also sometimes very picky in the questions presented. Learning objectives sometimes were not clear. However, if you show up to class regularly and do readings somewhat often then it should be an easy A. Project is also an easy A
Randy is one of my favorite professors. He genuinely cares about students and just wants people to learn. Few assignments but weekly quizzes that you should get a 100% on if you go to lecture. If you show up and show effort, it's a super easy class and Randy makes it interesting and fun. I highly recommend his classes.
This class was incredibly interesting, emphasis on sustainable agriculture, the environment, & obv grasses. Randy is incredibly passionate, funny, and knowledgable. The homework is not heavy, weekly quizzes that you'll prob want to go to lecture for and fun, easy assignments. Learned a ton.
One of the best professors I have ever had. Class is super easy, and Randy is very nice and accepting. Highly recommend any class with him.
Randy is such a cool dude who is very knowledgeable. He brings in some very interesting guest lecturers and is able to make all concepts very easy to understand. Quizzes are very easy especially if you attend lecture.
This class was really nice, as was Randy. He can ramble about topics at times but overall he cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. If you like grass and grasslands, I definitely recommend this course!
Although Dr. Jackson could be boring at times, he clearly cares about what he teaches and wants to go in depth into topics that he had to skim because this is an intro class. He cares about making connections with students and appreciates participation. If you're not into ag and the environment, this class will be boring. Still, I highly recommend.
Professor is good but I don't get what they are teaching, like 3 professors in a single lecture is too much, if you are taking this class just for breadth requirement, I suggest just leave this class.
Randy's a chill dude. He rambles during lecture sometimes and there are hardly any readings. I've taken two courses with him and he knows his stuff but mostly just wants you to have fun and engage with the subject.
This guy is a great lecturer. He clearly cares about each of his students and is very passionate about what he does. Overall the class is very easy if you pay attention and take notes. Only quizzes and no exams except for a final exam!
