GREAT TEACHER! Rajiv is so personable and kind to every student. Extremely flexible and makes assignments where you learn but don't get overworked.

Literally the coolest professor ever. I hate linguistics so so much, but Rajiv actually made it fun and engaging.

I could not recommend Rajiv enough. He is kind, caring and an excellent teacher. He cares about his students, he asked about our weekends every class, he shared personal stories with us, and he joked around. He has study guides that laid out what would be on each exam. He genuinely wanted his students to do well. I always look for his classes.

Rajiv is the best professor I have met thus far at UW Madison. He cares about his students and is very understanding and flexible. His teaching goals are clear, and his classes are always inclusive and fun.

Rajiv is the absolute best! I've taken two classes with him now, and it is clear that he truly cares about the students and wants them to succeed. He is very understanding that we have other classes and flexible with grading. TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU CAN!

Rajiv is easily the best, most caring professor I've ever had. He makes the material so engaging, I took 2 classes with him that I did not need for my major(s). If you have the opportunity, I strongly suggest taking this class with him. You learn a lot of interesting content and get to have a great professor.

Hands-down my fav professor yet! Loved his class & his teaching style so much I'm taking another class with him. Genuinely cares about his students and always has a smile on his face. Super accomodating with everyone's schedules. Even allowed us a free skip day "just because we can". But he still pushes his students to learn. Makes classinteractive

Rajiv was one of the best professors I've had! His lectures are interesting and he teaches so that we actually learn. His exams are easy and he tells you what you should study. He is also incredibly understanding and will be flexible with any issues you may have. TAKE HIS CLASS!!! Easy A.

Rajiv is the nicest teacher I have ever had at UW-Madison. He really cares about his students succeeding. His lectures are interesting and very clear. He always repeats things to make sure it sticks. He makes class fun with jokes here and there. If you pay attention and take good notes in class you will easily get an A on exams. Take this class!

Rajiv is a great professor! I learned so much in his class, and even though I thought I would hate phonetics, Rajiv actually made it interesting and fun! He explains everything so clearly and will never make you feel like you're asking a stupid question! He also wants all of his students to get an A, which is super nice! Take phonetics with Rajiv!

Rajiv is undoubtedly the best professor I've had. He cares so much about the students and is willing to do anything to help you learn. Everything is always straightforward and clear. Definitely take a class with him if you can.

Rajiv's a great guy! Extremely approachable and flexible. He made the class fun with memes of "la llama linguista" and questions of our weekend plans. I highly recommend any of his classes.

Such a caring, enthusiastic individual. I've never had a professor care so much about his students. He is very clear and explains everything perfectly. Honestly, try to take Rajiv for every class he teaches! I can't get over how awesome he is

Rajiv is great! I really enjoyed 320 with him. He's super nice, helpful, and makes class interesting. Super low commitment class, homework is completion and exams are not bad. Take Rajiv!!

Honestly the best professor I've had at this school. He makes the class interesting and wants you to do well. One of the only classes I've ever looked forward to going to. Take 320 (or any other class) with Rajiv if you can!

So helpful, so sweet, and so great!!

Tried to take EVERY class possible with him. Love him! Amazing teacher and genuinely enjoys teaching. And super-adorable. He's married. :(

He makes everyone in class laugh or smile every day. He's really clear about what you'll be quizzed/tested on and posts helpful study guides before exams. Wants everyone to do well. Really approachable, funny, clear. Take 320 with Rao!

My favorite professor in the Spanish department! He made Spanish linguistics fun and interesting, I actually looked forward to his class!

Rajiv was great, and I'm so glad I took 320 with him! If you just do the homework and review a little before the exams, you'll do fine. I barely did any work and I easily got an A!

Awesome Professor!!

I love him so much and he is the best teacher/professor I have ever had. Everyone loves him. Sometimes I think my love for him is weird, but then I realize it's because he's amazing...? I love hiiiim! Best professor ever, and I loved this class. I'm going to miss him!

Rajiv is a very young professor but is one of the best in the dept of spanish! I am a spanish major and he was such a pleaure to have!Always available for office hours and is really down to earth.Teaches material slowly and adds personal ¿Sabían que? to enhance class! Great class, and even better prof!Take Spanish 320 with Rajiv- you won't regret i

Rao is SO NICE and very helpful. He makes non-interesting topics fun and exciting. He is always joking around and making light hearted conversation with his students. He loves to get to know you personally as well, and is always willing to help if you need it. He is one of the best professors I have ever had, and I am a 5th year senior! Take him!

Awesome prof! He's really nice and easy to follow in lectures. As long as you pay attention in class the exams are pretty straight-forward. Definitely take 320 with Rao if you can.

Really interesting class with a great professor. Rao's young and new, so he's enthusiastic about teaching as always willing to help. Very easy grader and very flexible about attendance and exams. Study the night before the exam a little bit and you'll be fine.
