Troxel is a good professor but a very strict grader. An A starts from 93 percent, and even if you work hard and get good grades in the in-class tests, he throws you off in the paper. The only source of material is his lecture so take good notes.Rate My Professors ↗
Troxel is a very cool guy! Lectures are good in reterospect, during it can get long. Be patient with his extended examples and write down EVERY WORD. This will be really helpful for the tests. Consult text for test questions, no reason to read otherwise. This class got me really interested in Biblical Literature --- very cool. I would recommend!!Rate My Professors ↗
Lectures are pretty terrible unless you have a deep interest in tiny details of the Old Testament. The book is helpful and you get the test questions before the test, but I would not recommend this class.Rate My Professors ↗
Let me first say that Prof. Troxel is an extremely intelligent man. However, I do not find him to be a very good professor. His lectures were boring, and his power points make it difficult to take notes. He never repeats anything, and basically gives a speech every lecture. He is a pretty easy grader at least.Rate My Professors ↗
