Very very bad class, even worse professor. Retained almost nothing because almost nothing was discussed. Unfortunately, he is too old to teach effectively. the most arrogant professor I've had, you cannot even ask questionsRate My Professors ↗

I want to start out by saying he is a very nice guy, but Professor Krainer is by far the worst professor I've had. He came to lecture late half the time and when he did start lecture, he was super disorganized and never knew where he was in his slide deck. Also, he was one of the most arrogant professors that I've had and is ver close-minded.Rate My Professors ↗

He is the worst professor I've had at UW-Madison. Doesn't know how to communicate, can't answer questions, is too old to be teaching. Avoid this professor if you can.Rate My Professors ↗

I dropped the class within 20 days and usually am not one to post about a professor, but for this one its worth it. Worst professor Ive had at UW Madison in general. You will not know a single thing that is going on in the class. Not sure how he is still allowed to lecture this class. STRONGLY ADVISE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSERate My Professors ↗

The entire course is based on 3 exams and a couple take home quizzes. The exams are all open note so if you prepare a good study guide you will be set! He is a boring lecturer but provides a booklet with all of the information you will need for the exams, so attendance is not necessary.Rate My Professors ↗

Krainer is a straight G. Super old and boring, but his exams are almost word for word in the readings and slides. Open note exams. I skipped about half lectures and did fine so if you have a choice to take this for your FIN elective, take him. Make a table of contents for the exams to find stuff quickly and you should get an A for sure.Rate My Professors ↗
