Physics 241 with Dr. Joynt was a good class. There were weekly homework assignments, recommended textbooks readings (he followed the textbook closely), and pretty generous grading on exams. Tests are worth a lot, but are 3 problems and only your best 2 are graded. Very manageable class, helpful to read the textbook, posts nice lecture notes.Rate My Professors ↗

He is a great guy, a very nice person. Lectures are fun but you will need to read the textbook and do practice questions to understand physics. Best professor so far.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 3/5Difficulty 3/5
He is a really nice guy, but not an amazing instructor. The lectures can be disorganized and confusing sometimes, and he has a tendency to over-emphasize things that don't matter that much while glossing over the important stuff. Pop-quizzes!! The tests are terrifying because they are only 3 questions each and he grades the best 2.Rate My Professors ↗

Weekly homework was always tough and nothing was gone over in the discussion so that was pointless. Exams were 10 questions multiple choice but were super difficult questions and seemed like some material wasn't even touched on. Lectures are monotonous and confusing.Rate My Professors ↗

Not a good intro level physics course. He expected you to have a good understanding already and didn't explain the simple things easily. Homework every week and super short tests which counted for a lot of your grade. Discussions weren't mandatory and didn't go in depth into any of the info covered in class.Rate My Professors ↗

You can tell he prefers to teach the higher level classes, and had a difficult time keeping the students engaged throughout the class hour. By the end of the semester, only a third of the class was still showing up, and only a third of those paid attention. The topics were interesting at times, but his monotone, nasally speech patterns made it hardRate My Professors ↗
