Yes, he makes his classes difficult but he is also extremely accessible outside of class to help and makes a big effort to make students learn. he is the best professor i have encountered at UW and the only reason why he has a low rating is because he actually challenges his students. Test questions seem to want to trick you instead of testing your knowledge of the topics. Only a few people get A's in the class. Lecture environment is a little fearful, as he describes most of the topics to be simple.","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1999387","quality_rating":2,"difficulty_rating":5},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:09:46.763214+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTM1NjUwMDE3","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1999387","instructor_name":"Robert Anex","course_label":"BSE349","course_id":"BSE 349","course_uid":"course_eed3c9f536e42df4ae917922","review_date":"2021-12-24 19:24:11 +0000 UTC","comment":"Took 249. That's it really. As he teaches it feels as if he is teaching himself at the same time. The number of mistakes he makes while explaining things makes it more confusing. 'No stupid questions' is not true for him. He encourages questions, but make sure yours isn't dumb. Make a group chat with class members, it's the only help you'll get.","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1999387","quality_rating":2,"difficulty_rating":4},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:09:46.763214+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTMzMTgzNDQ0","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1999387","instructor_name":"Robert Anex","course_label":"BSE365","course_id":"BSE 365","course_uid":"course_74b7ecb14d437e6f80d69bf2","review_date":"2020-05-02 15:30:41 +0000 UTC","comment":"Annex is very knowledgable about the courses, however very bad at translating that information to students, disrespectful towards students, lectures dont really help with homework alot, bad professor overall","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1999387","quality_rating":1,"difficulty_rating":4},{"observed_at":"2026-09-07 16:09:46.763214+00:00","run_id":"20260907T155543-ce3781c4","source_review_id":"UmF0aW5nLTMxNzAyMDA4","source_instructor_id":"rmp:1999387","instructor_name":"Robert Anex","course_label":"BSE365","course_id":"BSE 365","course_uid":"course_74b7ecb14d437e6f80d69bf2","review_date":"2019-04-29 03:06:46 +0000 UTC","comment":"The worst professor period!!!","source_url":"https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/professor/1999387","quality_rating":1,"difficulty_rating":2}],"total":16,"page":1,"courses":[{"course_uid":"course_eed3c9f536e42df4ae917922","course_id":"BSE 349"},{"course_uid":"course_74b7ecb14d437e6f80d69bf2","course_id":"BSE 365"}],"matched":true},"socialImage":false}}
