QUNYING HUANG

Prof. Huang is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about GIS. Her lectures do feel unorganized sometimes though but she makes her exams very very easy. So it is an easy A, but I feel that I didn't learn too much from a 3 credit class.

Very few assignments, discussions, and exams, all online, very clear assignment instructions and gives lots of time to complete work. Everything is already laid out so not much connection with professor unless you reach out first.

Everything is online with no professor/instructor interaction unless you seek it out. Easy gen-ed class but you get out of it what you put in. Few assignments, heavy weight on quizzes and exams with random questions from a bank so difficulty varied. Did not open assignments to let you work ahead. Classmates often did not care to try either.

she is so nice and will actually give you good feedbacks on your projects. Her lectures are a little disorganized but she has great lecture notes on canvas so it doesn't really matter. The labs were really helpful and well organized. She is very willing to help you outside of class.

The prof is nonexistent in this course. All lectures are typed out and there are no video lectures. There are very few assignments that are not difficult but time consuming. Tests are timed and range from easy to hard. An easier science course but I didn't learn anything about the topic because of the teaching method.

She is one of the nicest professors I have taken at Madison! If you need help and can't come to office hours she will meet with you outside of class and is very supportive when you ask questions. She tries to learn her students' names and is very passionate. I wish we would have done more code examples instead of chalkboard examples.
