This was the worst class I've taken. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. This professor was terrible. If you need to take calculus do it with someone else.Rate My Professors ↗

Deng is passionate about what he teaches, but bc of this he tends to teach things fast bc they make sense to him. He does stay to answer questions after class so that's nice. He's more understanding to the whole class vs. individual. The grading scale was a slap in the face at first tho - but he did adjust it after multiple students complained.Rate My Professors ↗

He's a very knowledgeable teacher, don't get me wrong. However, his grading criteria was off the wall, you could never really tell what he wanted from you at the end of the semester. Course work does not run synonymous with the tests. Don't take him. Simple.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 1/5Difficulty 5/5
He's nice and knowledgable but that's where the pros end. The midterms are bad, buggy, honorlocked, strictly scheduled, and way harder than the material you learn. Lectures online are unhelpful and unclear; useless. Somehow the curve brought grades DOWN. Communication and standards weren't clear until FAR after the drop deadline. Do not take this.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 3/5Difficulty 4/5
The class is very dependent on how well you do on your weekly "mid-terms" and final exam. Homeworks were very easy, but the profs teaching was very difficult to follow. He seemed like a very kind person, but his lectures were not the best. I usually did the worksheets and practice problems rather than actually watching the lectures.Rate My Professors ↗
Quality 1/5Difficulty 4/5
His lectures were unhelpful and very hard to follow. I eventually got so frustrated I stopped watching them and taught myself the material. He promised a curve all semester on the final grades and ended up hurting students by curving grades down to the point anything below an 80 was a D.Rate My Professors ↗
