Pete is a great guy and has a lot of passion for what he does. He brings in real world experience so you can really understand what a career in logistics or IT systems would be like. His tests are very fair and easy if you pay attention. He doesn't assign a lot of work and tries to make it manageable. One of the best professors in Grainger.
Mr. Lukszys is fantastic. His lectures are extremely engaging and he is constantly relating course material to his real world experiences. General business/logistics acumen is expected going in unfortunately. If you put in minimal work and take it seriously, you will get an A in this class, and learn a lot about logistics management along the way.
Lectures delivered by him are well structured and relevant to what matters irl. He cares and the class is structured well.
Pete is a well-respected Professor at UW-Madison. The cases and simulations he chose for us really helped us easily grasp the knowledge he taught. Outside of the class, he also mentored us on our case competition and projects. Our center won second place during the case competition because of his great mentorship. We really appreciate it.
Pete is a great Professor at UW - Madison. His course is well-designed. My Internship needs to calculate the logistics cost for a variety of parts purchased around the world. I just applied what I've learned from Pete's class and got the work done so fast and with accuracy. I've benefited a lot from the knowledge and strategies he taught us.
A lot of self-learning.
Pete is one of the most genuine and passionate professors in the WSB. He is well prepared and makes all of his lectures concise and interesting. He has a real focus on engaging students in class, and creates a class ecosystem that lends itself to comfortable participation. Overall Pete is one of the best professors I've had at UW
Pete is an amazing professor, who is passionate about the topic. Very organized class, with valuable readings, guest speakers, and SAP simulation. There are several group write-ups, and the simulation at the end which requires a lot of collaboration. His midterm was thorough and fair - definitely need to study for it.
Pete prepares his lectures well and has great industry knowledge that he uses in his examples. The coursework is easy and so are the exams, that means a difference of 1 or 2 marks can change the grade. Assignments are straightforward.
Pete wasn't my favorite, but he's a solid professor who cares about his students. The competition can be tight (lots of people do very well) so you really have to go above and beyond, but good grades are certainly attainable. Understand the cases, take good notes on every lecture (including and especially the case discussions). Overall he's fine.
Pete is the best professor WSB has by far. He cares so much for his students and makes an effort to get to know everyone individually. Makes difficult/boring topics interesting and easy to follow and gives great case studies. For MKT 427, the simulation is super hands on and can actually be fun. WSB needs more professors like Pete!
I have taken two classes, 422 (Logistics) and 427 (ERP), with Pete and he is a really great guy. The classes are mostly lecture based but have some group projects and applied learning. Sometimes the classes are a bit dry or general, but he does a good job trying to teach you as much as he can about supply in a limited classroom environment.
Pete, you're the coolest. He genuinely cares about your learning and has great examples.
I have taken two classes with Pete because he's such a great Professor. He's a Badger fan and likes to talk about the games on Mondays. He explains concepts clearly with simulations and games. He's very personable and loves to talk to students. I will say that we had a lot of case studies, but his exams and grading practices are fair.
Took Logistics with Pete, he is a great professor that provides real life examples. Really nice guy that tries to connect w/ students. Challenges you and asks the tough questions to push your thinking, especially with the case studies and group exercises. Exams are 3/4 short essays and 1/4 multiple choice, and are fairly straightforward.
Great guy and great class!
Good class and liked the case studies. Uses career to relate to class material.
He is AWESOME! He's very helpful and makes not so interesting information actually not boring! I have learned a lot in this class and he is a very easy grader if you actually apply what we talk about in class to coursework. This class is super intimidating at first.. but really not hard at all.
