Dr. Adamczyk was a great professor and caring overall. However, his class, ME 439, was extremely disorganized although its content was a lot of fun. I think it would have been easier for me if I had mastered Linux and ROS before taking this course. So again, the class was a lot of fun but it needs a lot of improvement organization-wise.
Good prof, but the way this class is set up is poor. You don't really get that great of a feel of the code from the classwork, but the mechanics is also not emphasized. If you want to learn the topic, the effort must come from you, OUTSIDE class. But still fun.
Simply the best Dynamics professor you could ask for. Explains everything very clearly, and makes lectures engaging. Don't get me wrong, the exams were brutal, but Adamczyk gives you the resources needed to succeed and the TA's were great too. If you have the chance, take Adamczyk, he makes this class bearable.
Professor Adamczyk teaches using lots of extended examples, which has both pros and cons. His tests were pretty difficult, but he is super into the subject and very accessible outside of class. Overall a solid professor.
This prof is engaging in lecture, and makes the difficult material relatable and fun to learn. The class is tough, but I would take it again with him in a heartbeat. If every professor was this engaging, I would love every class I took.
Professor Adamczyk is one of the best professors I have had in the College of Engineering. Of course the content is difficult, but he gives many opportunities to be successful (not just exams). He really makes the content come alive and relates concepts in class to current research. He's helpful with questions and is truly passionate about teaching
He was a very good lecturer and I would definitely enjoy taking another class taught by Peter. His teaching made dynamics enjoyable, but that doesn't take away from the difficulty of the class. His midterm was very reasonable compared to the content we were taught but his final exam was the hardest exam I've ever taken at UW-Madison so far.
Prof Adamczyk is super passionate about teaching. His lectures were awesome and he posted them online afterwards so if you missed some or wanted to watch them again to clarify some things they were there. You have to do some short projects but they can be fun if you get into them. The midterm was fairly easy but he destroyed us on the final, hard..
Weekly quizzes are very challenging- find someone to work on them with asap. I think I averaged 45% on them. Exams were fair and manageable with studying. Lectures are interesting, but they are posted online directly after the class so attendance in person is not mandatory. Dynamics is tough, but he makes it do-able.
I would definitely recommend him, as you will learn the subject well and be entertained at the same time. Find a buddy fast though. His quizzes are over-the-top difficult towards the end of the course.
Definitely the best engineering professor I have had thus far. Extremely clear lecturing. Exams were challenging, but fair. Passion for teaching is evident - very helpful during office hours. Guy has a hard on for all things Algodoo though.
Adamczyk is the man. This course was organized, to-the-point, and 100x better than Statics (#LAR). You can tell he knows this stuff, and it comes out in his excellent lecturing. Exams were hard, but completely fair. You can tell he actually cares about students (not just research), and, unlike some professors, he won't throw you under the bus.
Good class, exceptional teacher.
This was the professor's first time teaching the course; some hiccups but only due to the experimentation and calibration of a first time course. One of the most accessible professors, very receptive to feedback and requests, devoted to giving student's the most useful possible experience. Broad spectrum of knowledge and activities. Interesting.
