Great lecturer that makes going to class enjoyable. The tests are very manageable, with the averages being low 80's. Did not like the online textbook aspect, but students can still purchase a physical copy if desired. Take it in the fall if you can, the organizational structure was much better than CEE 291.....

He was a great professor. You have fun in lectures and don't fall asleep. He makes you appreciate the class and has set it up really well. His tests are hard but it caters to most kind of test takers and you can pass. HE IS THE SWEETEST AND IS ALWAYS THERE TO LISTEN TO YOU. The labs are fun and useful and tie in well with the lectures.

One of the best professors I have had (he's a genuine professor and person). He cares about his student's success and is lenient. Lots of partial credit on exams.

Paul was great. He was easy to listen to as he was always very passionate about what he was teaching. He did a nice job explaining the theory behind the things we learned without boring us. I really liked his demos and his tests are mostly concepts and not computational, so if you understand it the exams aren't hard.

Really funny guy and a generally good teacher, but sometimes the content and grading schemes don't line up well with what's on the tests, which makes for a confusing class. If you do your homework, the class isn't too bad.

If given the chance, I wouldn't have wanted to take this course with another professor. Dr. Block is tough but fair and you have a lot of chances (tests, quizzes, labs, homeworks, etc.) to get good grades. Tests were open bookopen note so it's important to go to class and get the notes.

Professor Block is amazing! He's a great person and a great professor! He is very reasonable with homework, and he wants people to succeed.
