PETER MCINTYRE

Professor Mcintyre isn't the strongest lecturer, sometimes quite boring. The topics we learned in class seemed fairly easy, but he expected us to apply info way too in depth on the exam. He also had questions from TED talks and the book that weren't touched on at all during lecture.

So much material in such a short time. Seemed do-able but the test was very hard. Explained most of the material well but seems to miss some of the key topics that were discussed in discussion. I heard you should have read the textbook but I wouldn't now because I didn't. Study his section more than the cumulative section.

He is a decent lecturer, but he seriously clears his throat no less than 100 times during the 50 minutes you are listening to him. If you can resist getting distracted by that, the material isn't too hard.

Dr. McIntyre is an amazing professor! He's clearly passionate about fish ecology and loves teaching this class. His exams have mostly short essay questions and can be a little long so time management is key but the content is easy and manageable if you start reviewing a couple days in advance. Overall, great class and would definitely take again!

He clearly cares about the subject matter and loves talking about it. No textbook because of field trips and you can do alright skimming the readings. He doesn't post lectures, so while he doesn't take attendance you should go. His grading is fair and the workload for the course is manageable.

While Prof. Mcintyre can be a little long winded, his lectures are interesting and he brings in some good guest lecturers. He has been awesome with clarifying material and is happy to answer questions during lecture. He seems to genuinely want kids to learn and does a good job with managing his time with the 90 minute discussion.
