About this rating

Raw average: 5.00/5 from 4 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Paul was a great professor and I really enjoyed taking this required class! He moved at a manageable pace and was always happy to help you if you didn't understand. He made a online class very enjoyable. Overall great professor, one day we skipped a lecture in the mist of the BLM news to have a class discussion and make sure everyone felt welcome

Has weekly group activities in class, a homework assignment and a quiz. The quizzes and exams are open book and untimed, but the concepts can often be difficult. Overall, Professor Stoy does a great job of making a dynamic class with some lecture but mainly problem solving and collaboration. He is very nice and is always open to feedback.

The best. His compassion and love for his students really shows. You can tell he loves to teach. He is such an approachable patient guy and he really bends over backwards for his students so they learn the best. You will LOVE him!

Professor Stoy is one of the few professors you will find who cares more about your learning than anything else. He cares about his students and is very understanding. He explains the material well, but if you are ever confused, he is more than willing to reexplain. He is really awesome, and I highly recommend you take a class with Stoy!
