Pablo was very accesible outside of class and seemed to genuinely care about helping students succeed. When I asked for help and had questions, he explained things nicely and well (he wasn't condescending to me). His lectures can be a bit abstract and confusing sometimes, but if I asked questions, he was able to put it in simpler terms for me.Rate My Professors ↗

While I didn't find him as condescending as others, I can see where that comes from. I've never learned Spanish culture before- he was too abstract for me, often having us think deeply about topics but never making sure we understand/explaining surface level stuff. There's no reason an intro Spanish course should be this stressful and difficult, half of the students in my class were forced to drop the course due to him. He's incredibly condescending & rude for no reason, it's like is out to fail as many students as he can. Hard STEM classes were easier than this. The class has excessive daily homework and MANDATORY attendance and participation. Grading is extremely harsh. Condescending is the perfect word to describe his teaching. He singles out students and embarrasses them. After the first day the course content rapidly advanced, and he would get just as condescending if you could not "keep up".Rate My Professors ↗
I would never take a class with this professor again or ever recommend a class with him to anyone. He is extremely passive-aggressive and makes rude comments when you don't know something. He expects you to come to class knowing everything that the class is going over that day and is a very unfair grader. Do not take a class with him whatsoever.Rate My Professors ↗
