Besides that you also have to read the textbook. He knows the material well but has no idea how to teach. Get ready to learn from the TAs(if you are lucky) and the textbook.",

    "comment": "Weekly tests weren't too bad content-wise, but they mattered a lot for grades. The lectures were easy to follow and understand, but could get dull at times. Prof Mermelstein was a great professor for me, and the language barriers mentioned by earlier reviews is non-existent (at least anymore).",

    "comment": "Honestly enjoyed his online lectures. They were Asynchronous, but he made it seem just like any other normal math class. Very easy to learn the material. 10/10 recommend writing down any homework problems cause it should be very similar to what is on exams. Lot of work but worth it.",

Unfortunately he doesnt explain things very well to us mortals in an introductory calculus class. He might be better at teaching high level math courses, but if youre taking a gen ed class Id avoid this professor.",

    "comment": "I had Prof. Mermelstein for Math 234 and it was much better than the reviews on here say. His lectures were asynchronous (use 2x speed) and he seemed reasonable overall. There were weekly open note mini tests, so it's important that you have good notes. Online testing means small mistakes can tank your grade, even if your work is good.",
