Tests were unnecessarily difficult. Almost half the class dropped after the first averages on the exams were around 40%. Most of the grade is based on test scores which are not curved. Test questions were much more difficult than assigned homework problems. There was no review and no posted review for the exams other than one past exam.

Very difficult exams, no curve. Much worse grade distribution then other profs in the department.

Very fair grader. Definitely not a pushover class with him teaching it and expect to spend a decent amount of time on the homework. If you take the time to understand the homework and apply concepts from lecture, you should do pretty well on the exams. He is very passionate about his teaching and definitely takes time to answer questions.

This professor made an intro class harder than all of my advanced classes I am taking as a senior. Gives out averages of 40-70% on exams but doesn't curve the class. Avoid.

Hardcore boomer prof who refuses to admit he might be the problem if the average on his midterms is in the low 40s. Lecture examples will be easy and he'll spend 30 minutes going over every possible derivation, and then the homeworks and especially the exams will be impossible configurations of those concepts. 0/10 was stressed and learned nothing.

Spends a long time explaining something that probably takes 30 seconds and makes things seem more complicated. Not great at explaining concepts but expects you to understand it 110%.

Super high expectations when it comes to your understanding of the material but he can't explain anything well enough for you to absorb or understand the information. Don't take his class

Slight accent but good professor overall. This was more or less a physics class. So if you're good at working with equations and the like, you'll do well in this course. Some test questions were harder than they needed to be but they were all manageable if you understood the concepts well enough. The professor also gives pop quizzes in class. :-(

I hated this guy, he just rambled about Maxwell's equations forever and completely ignored anyone with a question. I took tons of notes in this class we got formula sheets and still did very badly. His exams are impossible. Go to lecture because he gives pop quizzes.

Take this professor if you have a chance! Very nice guy, charismatic teacher, and is passionate about the material.
