Amazing woman. Amazing instructor. Hard as nails, but If directing is what you want to learn, then directing is what you will learn. Equally effective in TD 750 as well. She totally understands the theatrical experience from the perspective of both actor and director. Would take any class she taught if the opportunity were to present itself again.Rate My Professors ↗
Basically a very remedial English course. Entire class is on weak analysis of stereotypical social issues. Example: Entire class "ooh"/"ahh"'d (not ironically) when she said Death of a Salesman was about the American Dream. Frequently demeans business or other "sellout" majors and believes theater student are the only moral people in the world.
Norma is one of the best professors that I have ever had. Her directing class was difficult, but every project helped clarify the points she made in discussion. She really knows her stuff, but doesn't mince words. Be prepared and come to class prepared!Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Saldivar was very difficult to talk to. She generally was "too busy" for her students, unless you were one of her beloved graduate students. She did not encourage her undergrads at all.Rate My Professors ↗
