Overall great professor. Lectures are clear and concise, weekly quizzes take 30 mins and are very easy, homework assignments are easy with most answers available online. The exams are conceptual (not computational) and can be difficult. Midterm 1 very easy, midterm 2 very difficult, final not too bad. This teacher is a very tough grader. When they (teacher and TA) lose a homework assignment, they just give you a zero and tell you to get over it. Midterms get harder (Avg. for Midterm 1 was 76%, avg for 2 was 55%). Grades essays hard. I had him read my paper and submitted it early for extra credit and still got a F. Nick is a cool guy and concise lecturer. Lectures consisted on doing practice problems, solving statistics problems, math and formulas. Exams were opposite, almost all word problems with the ideas never stated in class with only like 1 actual mathematical statistic question. Other sections +15% higher on exams, his exam averages rarely passed 60%.Rate My Professors ↗
Nic is condescending, and even if you ask him a question, he's not afraid to mock you in front of the whole class. He rushes through the lectures, and the exams are lengthy and wordy (even though it's a stats course). DO NOT TAKE WITH HIM. BEWARE.Rate My Professors ↗
He is hands down the worst teacher Ive ever had. Im pretty smart and try really hard but that didnt seem to matter in this class. Weekly quizzes take 1-2 hours to complete when theyre only 5 questions, hes condescending and mocks you when you ask questions, and he makes the tests impossible.
