NICHOLAS CAHILL

He is a really good lecturer and his class was fun to take! He mostly uses links, images, and readings to teach instead of slides/textbook. Because of his teaching method it is lecture heavy and taking notes is necessary/helpful. My notes ended up being pretty messy because he does often go on tangents. I loved the class and would take it again!

Kind of a Classics genius.

Professor Cahill is amazing! He is very knowledgeable about the subject and cares about his students. He was really easy to reach outside of class/quick to respond to emails. His canvas was a little unorganized, but he was happy to clarify/fix anything. My only complaint is the lectures often went over time 3-5 minutes. Overall, I would recommend!

This professor was so disorganized, both in lecture and with assignments. He doesn't write on the slides and only uses images. He gets lost in what he discusses often so it's difficult to take notes and keep track. He didn't give us assignments until the last month so every class we were playing catchup with quizzes because of his disorganization.

Professor Cahill is enjoyable if you are a history nerd who likes sitting and viewing archaeology images. He uses no text or slides so be prepared to take heavy notes, as exams are based on how much you can remember about specific items. In office hours and email he is accessible and nice, and grades very fairly. Not an easy credit, but interesting

Cahill's lectures were very disorganized as he didn't use any slides, he just displayed images and talked about them. He also didn't use notes which led to very hard to follow rambling and him repeating himself. The grading criteria for exams and 10-page term paper were unclear, he's a harsh grader, and he sometimes takes weeks to get grades back.
