He is a truly kind and approachable lecturer. Understanding the challenges caused by cultural differences, he made special efforts to help international students feel included in the classroom. You can communicate with him just like talking to a friend. If you have to take ENGL 201, I highly recommend taking his class.

Nathan was an amazing English professor. He technically changed his attendance policy halfway through the semester, but instead of free absences it was just "as long as you email me I don't care." His lectures were really good and he tried really hard to make lectures engaging rather than him just talking the whole time, which I appreciated

Best prof I've ever had. Nathan really cares about his students and will make you see the world in a different way. He can seem like a tough grader at first, but really wants everyone to improve and get an A. My only complaint is he changed the attendance policy halfway through the semester, but emailing him that you can't make it isn't a big deal.
