GREAT professor who won't hold your hand or treat you like a high-schooler. Has no problems telling you exactly what you did wrong. Definitely go to class, lectures at a high level and will tell you so directly. Does a good job relating architecture to the culture of the time.Rate My Professors ↗
Menocal is one of the best professors I've had at UW. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and intelligent in his field, and pushes his students to explore architectural theories further. He is HILARIOUS and out of control. Class is entertaining. He wrote most of the readings in the reader. The only 2 exams were take home essays.Rate My Professors ↗
He is an arrogant professor who just reads facts to the class instead of teaching. The type of information we are supposed to learn is unclear especially when it comes exam time. The class is an ARCHITECTURAL art history course and we hardly ever learn about architecture! I would not recommend this class for anyone.Rate My Professors ↗
Narciso is a great person, but hard professor. Be prepared to be called out in class on the spot. Very difficult to get a hold of. If you have a question or need to talk to him, get a hold of him after class. He rarely responds to emails in a timely fashion. GO TO CLASS!!! Absoultely awful. Some may say he is 'brilliant' but I will put all of you on his absurb level of thinking as well. He is demeaning to his students, and has no problem making you feel inadequate when asking for clarification. Absolutely unprofessional, and I will be filing a complaint with the OED of Madison about his actions towards students.Rate My Professors ↗
