The Arabic TAs are great, but Ustaz Mustafa explains everything SO WELL, and I feel like my Arabic skills have improved so much since taking Arabic 3. He focuses a lot on grammar, which is really helpful as you go forward with Arabic. You get info on each quiz & exam beforehand & he's not a tough grader. Expect to speak Arabic in class!

Professor Mustafa is the best thing that will happen to your Arabic skills. Of course, he points out your many mistakes but that is the best way to grow as a language learner. He is kind and funny and sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. Do your homework, learn from your mistakes, and get to know him and you will be happy in any of his classes.

Mustafa Mustafa is a Malek. As someone interested in really learning Arabic, he has been very helpful, answering nearly all my questions. His knowledge of grammar and culture is on another level. You are challenged daily and he turns your mistakes into learning opportunities. Just make sure to do your wajib or else he'll "see it in your eyes."

Online class wasn't great, he is older & honestly don't think he understands technology all that much. Grading criteria is unclear, due dates are unclear, & doesn't put grades in until the end of the semester. He is funny & personable once you get to know him but is a hard ass at the same time. Not the worst if you genuinely want to learn Arabic.
