Mike cares about your learning and wants to teach the material to the best of his ability. He does have a lot more work than I initially expected for this class, but I do feel like I have improved my skills relating to technical communication.

Mike expects a lot more from his students than many of the other professors for this course. His class is very time consuming and he makes it very difficult to feel like your effort is worth it. There are a lot of alternate assignments that could have been more beneficial for a future job search.

He is a very nice guy, but the amount of time he requires spent is ridiculous. His grading is very subjective, seems almost impossible to get anything higher than a B. Talking to other people with other professors, seems like his class requires more than double the work other classes have. Recommend any other professor when taking this class.

Assignments are mostly wastes of time. It genuinely requires double the amount of work to go from a B to an A. Just pick another communications professor that doesn't expect engineers to give up their lives for a communications class.
