So caring and passionate! 440 was my first LSC class having just declared the certificate and I really enjoyed it. I found his lectures and readings fascinating and enjoyed the way that the project was split up into manageable parts. When I had issues fairly splitting work with group members, Michael was really helpful. He wants you to succeed!

Xenos was a very good professor and enthusiastic about the work he does. He is very caring and is responsive to a lot of questions. One thing he likes is hearing from the students and that is one trait I appreciate about his teaching style.

Professor Xenos is very likely the best professor I've had at UW. He ACTUALLY cares about his students' success and learning. The content can be tricky to wrap your head around but he does a great job breaking it down and explaining it.

One of the best professor I've ever had here at UW. The course material is fairly easy but if you talk to the professor, he puts his lectures in terms that you personally can understand. If you're willing to stay after class and/or go to his office hours you'll do just fine in this class even if you aren't the best with politics.

Professor Xenos is very knowledgeable and respected within the field, but he's not a very good lecturer. His slides have different information than what he says, so you have to choose between listening or writing. His tests are difficult, harshly graded, and require some memorization. All the papers were group projects, which sucked. Hard grader.

Very passionate about subject matter and keeps content exciting! Fun to be in class, makes you want to be there, want to participate. Good starter/leader of discussion.

Lecture itself was enjoyable, he really cares about the material and students. Really liked Xenos, but I had to seriously work for an AB. This is one of those classes where the TA really matters, mine was a SUPER harsh grader (Larisa D.). Would have been easy if not for that. Same with exams, he tested random details from lec/book so read.

I got an A which required work, but it was enjoyable. Xenos is a fantastic lecturer and is one of those professors that really makes you think. I'd recommend it for a Comm B requirement.

Professor was a good lecturer, class was interesting and well-organized.

Class is interesting, makes you think about ur interactions with groups. Exams were fairly hard (30 multiple choice)Felt like i knew the material but when i got my grade back i was fairly upset. 1 group project, 4 smaller papers (includes a 4 pages reflection paper at the end of the course).

Good class, great prof, fairly easy.

Great CommB class! Interesting perspective on groups and group structure. Tests (no curve) are based on lectures (take good notes) but some questions are based on the book, so at least read it (even quickly). Group project is intensive and is throughout whole semester, but grading is okay. Super nice and really available for O/H. Prepare to write!

boring boring boring. this class should not be hard whatsoever but the tests aren't that easy & the grading on the assignments can sometimes be harsh as well. easy comm b though

Xenos was kind of awesome. The class was pretty easy. Plus the lecture hall had comfortable chairs.

Professor Xenos is a good prof, he is very easy to listen to for the whole hour. He says sort of about 200 times per lecture, notice it once and it's all you'll hear. Tests are easy, papers are easy, if you're looking for a commb here's your choice.
