Michael was a really good teacher, felt like he really cared about me and wanted to get to know me. Classes are about 15 people tops, and he would always go around the room and share insight. Demonstrated well and had fun projects, especially for an intro class. Glad I got to take his class

Prof. Velliquette is a good guy. Class is very fair and well-structured. As a non-art major, I found the class to be fascinating and engaging. He doesn't waste your time with busy work. Would highly recommend this class if you are looking to fill three credits in your schedule.

He was probably the best instructor I have ever taken a class with. While the class was online, he made it very clear that he was always available for his students. Assignments were easy, although time consuming. He is passionate about art and really wants his students to be as well, regardless of their degree plan.

I took this online course and I was truly amazed by Prof Velliquette. He gave extremely detailed feedback on every project and assignment, this was easily the most and best feedback I've received from a Prof here. He cares about his students. Every week: 1 sketchbook assignment, 2 written responses, a lecture video, 1 review quiz. Not bad at all.

Art 100 online with Michael is a great class. Michel cares about the students, and offers a very laid back opportunity to try an art class. 100% take this class. Easy A if you do the work.

This was by far the easiest class I've ever taken. Attendance is mandatory but he makes everything so interesting. All expectations are made clear and he's super flexible. Consists mostly of sketchbook assignments (not hard) & NO EXAMS!! As long as you keep up with assignments, spend an hour on your art, and go to class, you'll get 100% like me.

This guy rocks-super inspirational, made me appreciate art so much more. Just do the assignments and you will have no problems

Michael is amazing. I have effectively no artistic talent and knew nothing about art before this class and his class made me appreciate it so much more. He doesn't care about how good you are at art, he just cares about effort and improving through the semester. Pretty much everything I submitted got 100%. Definitely take this class

I'm a junior now, and ART 100 IS THE BEST CLASS I'VE EVER HAD! I was not going to take art certificate, but after taking Michael's class, I was so inspired. His classes are very interesting. You can learn a lot about different art styles and a little bit of art history. His classes are easy. As long as you do your hw and show up, you can get A

Loved him. I took this class with no art experience whatsoever and was pleasantly surprised how much fun it was. I would take it again in a heartbeat.

I love Michael!! If every art teacher is like him, I would take every single art class. Michael grades you base on self-growth. As long as you are being creative, there is not a right or wrong in his class. Just follow the criterion that he set and you would do absolutely fine. Did I mention that I wasn't the artistic type.

Michael is amazing! He is very passionate about art and does a great job of instilling the love and knowledge of art in his students. I was wishing the semester did not end so quickly because I really loved this class.

He is the nicest guy ever. Classes are a lot of fun, and you have a lot of freedom in the art projects that are assigned. You take field trips to galleries around campus, which is a nice change of pace. He is very helpful on tips or if you are stuck with what to do next. If you are at all interested in art, definitely take this class with him.

I can not use any word to describe how awesome he is! It is one of the best professor I met in my collage year! His papercut works are pretty impress for me

Velliquette is the bomb. Super easy teacher. Let's you really do whatever you want as long as he sees you've put in effort. He's pretty funny too.

Michael is a great professor and really cares about the subject matter. Although you learn a fair amount about formal elements and whatnot, it seems like the main goal of the class is to just get you to like art. As someone who had no interest in art whatsoever before taking this class, I can say that Michael succeeded in changing my mind about it.

Michael is a great teacher! He always has fun ideas and loves helping students improve. I definitely recommend this class!!!
