Great guy, He wants to watch everyone succeed and insanely accommodating when it comes to exams and assignments.

Such a sweet and wholesome guy, you can tell he really cares about his students and just wants to watch everyone succeed. So insanely accommodating!!! His voice fluctuations don't make him the greatest lecturer, but he makes up for it in everything else.

Michael is so chill and he understands it's not worth it making everything hard for students for no reason. The class is very easy. You don't need to go to class, just watch his videos on Canvas.

Michael is a great professor- he is well-versed in statistics and business, but he cares deeply about his students and knows success is about more than what grade you receive. Lectures flipped between "normal lectures", and participation activities with a small group which I really appreciated- it helped me apply and master the content we learned

this class is very easy and is pass/fail. he is very nice and grades easily. i spent around or a little less than an hour on this class per week.

Nice person!

He is a nice professor willing to spend any time necessary with any problems you may have. That being said, this class is quite difficult if you aren't that good with numbers, so I highly recommend getting to know him and asking lots of questions. Once again, a really great dude.

Hernke is an awesome professor and very kind and helpful. That being said this class itself is very challenging. Watch every lecture very closely and practice a lot outside of class. This is ACCT level difficulty because the exams are not easy. Set aside time to really work in this class and do not fall behind.

GB307 is now entirely taught online and split between two semesters. Professor Hernke is wonderful. You are almost guaranteed 100% on all of the homework assignments. All that therefore remain are two very fair exams with no surprises. Dr. Hernke's lectures are clear, concise, brilliant, and lacking in nothing necessary. This course was run well.

Prof. Hernke is great. This class is very easy if you take the time to watch the videos and do the practice activities. I had no experience with Excel prior to this class and I feel pretty comfortable with it's basic functions now. If you're struggling, Prof. Herke has office hours where he can help you out.

Easy class that can be done all online. Unnecessary to go in-person unless you need extra help, which is nice. I definitely think that this half of the course was more applicable to real-life situations. Test wasn't "easy," per se, but if you do the activities and homework assignment on your own (which it seems that most don't), you'll be fine.

I worked really hard and thought I would end up with a fine grade and ending getting a horrible grade for the amount of work I put into the class. Totally not fair. Would never take a class with him again.

The class all semester was totally manageable and quite alright. But at the end of the semester his grading policy was wack where a 70-72% was considered a D. I've never heard of such a thing. He was really nice and helpful in class but the grading scale was terrible

Professor Hernke was one of the kindest professor I've met. He was always ready to help. I took his GB307 in the summer, the intensive four-week course. The topics are really interesting and useful. Workload was manageable and exams were fair. It was not hard to get an A in this class.

This class is online asynchronous and has 4 sections. Get 80% on each section of quizzes (take-able as many times as you want) and you pass. Plain and simple. Watch the excel videos because they do a better job explaining the skills than the reading does. You don't get a grade for this 1 credit class, just pass or fail.

He is very caring and extremely understanding. He wants you to succeed!

I had so many issues with excel in this class and Hernke was very accommodating. He just wants to see his students succeed and I am forever thankful for this professor.

Michael's online videos were the least helpful thing. They often had nothing to do with the actual assignment.

Hernke teaches the 2nd half of the class in the spring semester. His material is easier than the content covered during Hoban's half. I thought his lectures were pretty good in explaining the concepts. His final exam was fair and easy. Make sure you do all the participation activities by yourself, and you'll be fine. Don't copy others on them.

I don't have to much to say about Michael. I mean he is fine but I found his lectures a bit boring and dull. Maybe in person they are better, but the recorded ones are not the best... I think if I had him in person or in a live class I would have a different opinion but I did not.

Michael is a sweet guy and genuinely wants you to do well in his class. His lectures were a little hard to follow but he made up for it with being super helpful during computer lab time and outside of class. He is always willing to help and wants you to understand the content. Exam and assignments were very fair.

Michael is an amazing professor. He teaches the last third of Analytics 2. He is incredibly caring and reasonable. He even knew my name without having to ever tell him. His participation activities, quizzes, and final exam were VERY fair. From him, you really get to see how analytics applies to the real world. 10/10 recommend

Hernke taught the last part of 307. His power point slides were sort of confusing, but he taught the material well if you pay attention and follow along with what he is doing. He is more than willing to help out students and answer questions.

Amazing professor. The class is tough but he's probably one of the most patient, helpful, understanding professors I've ever seen. I struggled a lot during this class because of personal things and he noticed enough to reach out personally and ask me if I needed an extension for my exam - I was able to pass the class thanks to his understanding.

Michael's awesome. Calm demeanor, the best stories, and INCREDIBLY helpful---even over email. Never will not reply with an incredibly helpful response--and offer to continue the conversation.

Hernke is a solid professor. This is a tough class and he goes through material pretty quickly, but is very patient and helpful during practice days. He is very passionate about what he is teaching, and uses stories to make sure we understand the importance of what we are learning.

Michael was a very nice prof who seems to like teaching and cares about his students. You can tell he is VERY smart and is operating at a level above most of his students. I wish he would have dumbed it down and SLOWED down. We often finished early without actually understanding material. His tests were difficult but are doable. Go to lectures.

HIGHLY recommend taking Michael's class. You can tell that he is passionate about his studies and his students. Even though his lectures are boring, you get a little break in the middle and you can skip presentation days (5 classes worth) which is really nice. Homework is helpful and there's an extra credit opportunity to boost your grade.

Michael is probably one of my favorite business professors - you can tell he really enjoys his work (teaching included) and he tries his best to be there for students. His lectures tend to be slightly tedious but that's only because it's tough material. He goes out of his way to help students so don't be afraid of asking him for help!

Lectures can get long but he builds a short break in the middle which is pretty cool. I have a hard time trying to figure out what to write down from the slides but they are on moodle. He is always available for office hours and makes extra time around the exams.

Business Analytics II: Michael is one of the nicest and most helpful professors I've had in the business school. Although his lectures (statistics) can be long, he really goes out of his way to help students during office hours and ensures that students know their material. He makes homework flexible and manageable according to students' needs.

Michael is amazing. Business Analytics 2 is a SUPER difficult class - for me, the content was extremely challenging and very frustrating. The 4 homework assignments are a LOT of work (start a week early!!!) but that's how I learned the material (rather than lecture, which was confusing). Michael is amazing and always very helpful on those homeworks
