This class has a lot of busywork, and I feel like it detracts from the project itself. Prepare to spend a lot more time than you'd like on progress reports and seminars of questionable value. The quality of your faculty advisor and client probably have more effect on your success in this course though.

351 with Dr. Cheadle wasn't bad at all. I really liked how everything was well organized. Considering how big this class is, I thought it would be messy; however, the professor and TA did a great job managing this class.

This is more of a comm B class than a senior design class. Nearly every company I've spoken to that works with this class is annoyed by how little every single group gets done because they end up spending all of their time writing reports specifically to how he wants and not on actually designing or building. Horrible class set up for this

Mike is one of the better educators I've encountered. He will take the time to walk you through any concepts that challenge you.

If you're taking this class online, I would consider rethinking that. It's a lot of work (especially the labs) and if you don't have the TA and Prof there to help it can be very frustrating. Tough class, but not impossible

Professor Cheadle is easily one of the most helpful professors I have ever had. Talking one on one with him is really helpful, and he will often answer your questions even if you don't know how to phrase them. He is a fast talker, so get ready to write, but if you want a professor who actually cares, get Cheadle.

Mike is a great prof. He really knows his stuff but he does talk and teach fast. Sometimes really fast. Overall though he is a nice guy. He has a pretty black & white rule about grading and not rounding up. That seems harsh if you are within 1%.

Superb. 10/10, would recommend.

An outstanding lecturer and teacher, and friendly too.

Took this class over the summer. His lectures are concise and really get to the point. The homework is all done on the computer but exams are on paper, so make sure you know how to use the tables in the book well and study on paper. Overall its a very interesting class, put in the effort to understand and you'll be fine

Just Awesome

homework is 90% done on the computer but tests are all on pen and paper, so make sure you get enough practice solving by hand. he relates coursework to real life engineering problems which is nice

Just enroll his class! Finally I find a teacher whose class is worth of listening. I can keep concentrating on his teaching for half of the class but for others, en, maybe just 20 percent. Study hard and easy A.

Challenging class, great professor. He is always willing to speak outside of his office hours, and genuinely cares about his students. Pay attention in lecture, he usually covers the conceptsequations needed for the homework that is assigned that same week.

Good lecturer for a tough class. He explains topics clearly and in ways that people can relate to. Homework is all in EES and tests by hand but the topics are paralleled.

He moves quickly through the material. All homework is done in EES but exams are handwritten which makes for a very different experience on them. Always at office hours but tough to get a straight answer from. Overall decent professor for tough class.

Too quickly explains concepts, and when he does he introduces the difficult to learn concept as "you should already know this" or "this is fairly easy" when it actually isn't since its the classes first time being introduced to heat transfer concepts. Focuses on numerical solutions and specific examples versus conceptual. Not enough time for exams.

My favorite lecturer I've had yet! He's not actually a professor, but I feel like that allows him to commit more time to his courses. Most approachable professor in office hours I've met.

One of the best professor I have ever taken!Explains everything clearly and knows exactly what he is talking about. He is knowdgeable too. Also super helpful and approachable during office hour.
