Took Journ 350 class. Nice guy, but grading is incredibly subjective and is centered around a semester-long group project. Material is relatively niche. If you like subjective grading where other group members can affect your whole grade, then this is the course for you.

First time the class was taught in person so it was pretty disorganized and frustrating. A semester-long group project with unclear grading criteria and unhelpful feedback. Prof. Hermann is a great person and obviously passionate about sports media and controversies which made lectures and guest speakers fun.
