Marcus is an amazing professor who encourages all students to participate and engage with the material. His class was set up like a power lecture but I'd say he talked only about 40% of the time. The rest was interactive, student based stuff. You have to put in some work but it's not overwhelming. He is very open to feedback. Loved this class!

Dr. Brauer is enthusiastic about social marketing and also truly cares about his students' opinions and interests. The key to success in this class is time management--it isn't easy, but it is reasonable if you read as it is assigned and not right before the exam, and actively pay attention and participate in class. Also, loved the material.

I enrolled in this class because it was required from my home university, and I had no expectations at all. It turned out to be one of my favorite classes! The material is thought provoking but easy too read. Prof. Brauer is very engaged and available, though the class is almost exclusively student discussions, presentations and guest speakers.

Markus is very passionate about the subject of social marketing and its prevalence in the psychology field. He encourages group collaboration and discussions with an emphasis on personal responsibility for readings. Be sure to attend all lecturesparticipate (exams include both aspects). Overall great course--challenging, but definitely worth it!

Loved this class! Lots of reading and in class discussion. Teacher is willing to meet outside office hours and answers questions promptly.

This class was tough for me, but If you make effort you can get valuable knowledge. Personally I hope this class have more racial diversity, try! International students!

Markus is a professor who wants to see his students succeed. He is very passionate about his field and knows his stuff. Be ready to put in a lot of work if you want to get a good grade, but get ready to look forward to going to class. You'll really get to know your classmates through small group work and class discussions.

Markus's capstone was one of the best classes I have taken.. It is not easy (you must do a project and participation is mandatory)but it is very rewarding. He is also a great teacher and is actually excited to talk with you if you go to office hours. He has high expectations so you can't slack off, but it's worth it if you're willing to do the work

I liked how the class was structured; it was discussion-based and encouraged participation. The reading materials were manageable and I thought the topics were interesting. The research paper and presentations were challenging, but they were worth it! I loved the class.

Loved the way Markus structured the class. Lots of group discussion and very interactive. You definitely have to keep up with the readings and put in a lot of outside work but the class was so interesting and Markus was always open for questions. Highly recommend.

Professor Brauer is an excellent instructor. Reading and attending class are a must, but you will absolutely want to be there. He makes the material relevant and useful to your daily life. The texts are very reader friendly and fascinating. Prof. Brauer goes out of his way to be available, a wonderful person and a top notch instructor.

This was one of my favorite classes. It requires a moderate to high level of work but the material is extremely interesting and applicable to every day life. Markus is an awesome professor. He is personable and funny and very effective at teaching. If you are willing to put in the work, I would highly suggest you take this class!

Markus cares so much about his class and students. The workload is reasonable and consistent. I left the class feeling like I learned a ton and was never bored in class. It helped me figure out what I might want to do with my life which is a plus. Highly recommend!

Very interesting class. Prepare to work hard and cover a lot of material, but it's very rewarding in the end. Easily the class I looked forward to going to the most this semester. The readings are great, discussions every day, and Markus is beyond available.

Markus is a genuine man. He will get involed in projects outside of class if they are relevant to his life and interest him. Very supportive instructor.

This class was great! Although there was a lot of out-of-class reading and work, everything was interesting and well worth the effort. I would highly recommend this class. You will learn a lot and Markus is a great professor!

This was a very challenging class (a lot of reading, writing, & presenting), but it was also very rewarding. The class format was very discussion based, so when it came time for the exams, you realized that you can recall a lot. The books are really interesting and are almost pleasure reading material! More classes should be taught like this!
