The labs were decent but lengthy. The test was open book, open note, open internet, but the practice bench exam wasn't at all like the real exam.

Not much to say for his lab class. He helps if you are stuck on building the circuit and has his funny moments. Outside of that this class is very easy and he is a very chill professor.

He's not awful, but incredibly hard to reach outside of class. And when I did have questions in class, he wouldn't understand what I was asking and not help at all. I don't know about in person but his labs for hybrid classes are easy, but sometimes unclear on what is being asked for.

ECE 270 with Mark is an incredibly easy course. I highly recommend that you take it alongside ECE230, as the class topics and schedules line up very nicely. If you know what you are supposed to be doing conceptually from 230, 270 becomes an incredibly easy, biweekly lab where you have fun with your partner with some electrical components.

Total chiller but he doesn't actually teach you anything in his classes. The TAs do all the work, and Mark will just come by and give you a check off once a month in the lab classes. That being said, any time I did need help he was responsive, funny, and helpful, so I really have no complaints, just not a super engaging prof.

Horribly run class! The TA was partially blind and took over an hour to help one person with simple questions about the lab. The labs were never updated from semesters ago, but the equipment is. So, we showed up and did work one week and the next week we were told that it wasn't necessary because Mark removed it -- wasted time!

Mark shows up to the first day of lecture and then disappears for the rest of the semester. The class is really just "taught" by TAs but more of just following instructions on a PDF. The instructions can be a little vague at times... Also I emailed this professor two or three times in the semester and never heard from him. Easy A class though.

After 270 I was afraid I didn't learn enough, but I actually ended up asking him questions last semester and he's a remarkably great guy. He knows a lot and I feel like I learned a lot & caught up from 270 (though I took 270 with him too). This course was great in that you (potentially) get to learn a lot without the stress of getting a poor grade.

Doesn't do anything for the class. That being said, you probably have no choice but to take a class "taught" by him (ECE 210 / ECE 270). Better hope your TA is good.

Very easy class so far; requires participation. Does not teach anything though, and he puts a bunch of stuff in the lab sheets impeding your progress.

Nice guy. Cares about students. Just show up, build the circuits, and your fine. Doesn't expect much as far as comprehension. TAs make the test at the end of the semester so it's different every semester.

Played a minimal role in teaching the course and did not communicate well with TA's in order to make up for it.

Very easy class, hardly any need to go to the lab, except to use the multimeters and collect circuit components. A do-it-yourself kind of class.

This class is only one credit, and the professor treats it as such. Everything is pretty much take home. The labs are very easy and the course is an easy A. The only hard part is reading the lab instructions, which may induce feelings of dyslexia.

This was more of a take home lab with 3 optional lab sessions per week where you go in for help. Unfortunately he is hardly ever there to help. I didn't even know the TA until the 5th out of 6 labs. His labs are also really unclear and rely very heavily on you being able to work technology that you've never used. Really easy though. Good luck.
