By far the best professor I've ever had. It's rare to see a professor who genuinely cares about their students learning and progress as much as Prof. Trujillo and he even went as far as to grade the homeworks himself so that he could give us feedback. He did a great job at making tough concepts feel easy to understand. 10/10

The way he teaches this class is strange, but effective. It's extremely focused on the fundamentals and derivations, but he's a good lecturer. He cares about the subject *and* teaching, which is a rare combo. Despite how intimidating the content looks, he doesn't grade very harshly.

Your grade in this class is based almost entirely on how well you can memorize long equations. Take this class with literally anyone else if you want a grade that actually reflects your understanding of the material. I haven't had a single class here do the same kind of thing and no other fluids professor expects students to memorize this stuff

No textbook, no practice problems. All the theories and don’t care to explain.

Before the class starts he sent a email says we have to attend the help session twice a week which was not mentioned in the course enrollment website and these help sessions are not listed in the course schedule. AND he said if we cannot attend the help session, be prepared to FAILE the class or DROP the class. Most arrogant Professor ever seen.

His grading structure basically says your grade is based on one final exam only. Be prepared cause there is no final exam review (He went through all his slides and that is it). LUCK is the only key to success his class.

The professor doesn't use mic when talking, writing is unclear. Grading structure is questionable, no practice exam, no good final exam review. Just be prepared to fail the exam even you tried hard and get good grades for the hw.

If you want to learn fluid dynamics based on only 10-hrs pre-recorded lecture video, JUST PICK HIM. NO textbook, NO exercises besides HW. You have NO idea about what will be on the exam. I don't know why other comments are really positive. Maybe he writes those by himself.

He teaches you the material, teaches it well, and then tests you on the material covered in class. What a concept! One of my favorite professors ever. If you attend class, pay attention, and do your homework, you barely have to study for exams to do well. He also has a very dry sense of humor that makes class more interesting. 10/10 would recommend

He taught the course for the first time, taking over from a very senior prof, but he did a fantastic job of completely reworking the syllabus. It's not your typical CFD course, with lots of ANSYS or OpenFoam; he teaches fundamentals and then demonstrates the importance of the mathematics through coding. Be prepared for some serious math, though.

Excellent professor. Of all the professors I have had in the ME department, he is the first that I can actually tell that he cares whether or not the students understand the material. I would take him again for any class and would highly recommend.

Prof. Trujillo is one of m favorite professors. Yes, he teachers in a very theoretical way but he really cares about you learning the material. Don't be fooled, this is not an easy class, BUT if you follow his method and go through his notes and homework, you'll actually really understand it, which is a great feeling!

One of the best Prof. I've had. Definitely a tough class, but he puts in extra effort to make sure everyone is doing well. He speaks to every student individually after handing back exams, just to make sure no one is falling behind. Also is low key hilarious.

He recently switched away from a textbook to his own notes. He is very, very smart and is doing some really good research in his field. BEWARE: his class is taught through theory, proofs and derivations. If you cannot understand this, take another professor. Homework is for completion and exams are fair, but only if you can understand theory.

Prof Trujillo is one of the best professors I've had at madison. While he expects a lot out of students he is also very available to help in office hours and exam review etc. I didn't buy the book and still got an A. Homework is graded on completion, and you have to know your stuff for exams, so attending all lectures is important.

Best professor I have ever had, and I'm not even an ME major. Teaches almost solely through derivations, but it wasn't that bad. Homework and exams were graded leniently. I really learned a lot during the semester. It's a shame I won't have him for any more classes...

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE LEARNING ONLY THROUGH THEORY. He actually refused to do examples for the first 2/3 of the class. He's a really nice guy and he cares, but his teaching style made this class extremely difficult for me. He expected everyone to be able to learn by reading the textbook, and that is not my learning style.

Great prof. Very clear during lecture and very helpful during office hours. Best engineering prof I have had at the UW!!

BEST MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROFESSOR IN WISCONSIN, HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wish he taught more undergrad classes because having him is a blast!

Great professor. Very thorough and teaches you the fundamentals, not just all applications. Expects you to understand the derivations, not just memorize. Extremely leniant grader as well. Has lots of research experience, and can be very funny. Highly, Highly recommend.
