she's a great professor. You can tell how passionate she is about what she's teaching and cares about her students and will answer any questions asked. Class is mandatory and is a little longer than other classes but is a very interesting class since she tells the information like a story.

Dr. Hayes is an incredible lecturer, telling the complex histories of Latin American countries in the form of stories. She supplemented lectures well with quotes, images, and outside readings. Be prepared to write essays, as most of your grade is based on a couple papers and a writing-heavy exam. Super cool course, would definitely recommend.

The class was heavily lecture based, but they were interesting and the professor was clearly passionate about the subject. The readings aren't necessary, but they are helpful for context of lecture and not too long. 100% recommend taking this course.

Very much a lecture/reading/discussion based course. Very enjoyable courses, she is very entertaining and more than willing to elaborate on any point. Clearly enthusiastic about the subject manner. She is also very willing to help any of her students and cares about their success, both academically and in life.
