Loved Molly and J201! I'm a freshman, and this was easily my favorite class I took this year. If you attend lecture, keep up with the readings, and participate in section you will do great. Even if you're not going into Journalism, the course concepts are super interesting, relevant, and easy to grasp. I would recommend this class to everyone.Rate My Professors ↗
It's an easy class, pay attention in lecture, and read and you'll get an A easily. The TAs grade everything so you'll usually get good grades on your essays. There are pop quizzes, but all you need to do is follow CNN on Twitter and read their feed every once in a while.Rate My Professors ↗
Not a big fan personally. She comes off as self-absorbed & pretentious. She doesn't deliver a lot of the teachings in a finite understandable manner. She tries to be fun & giddy but is annoying & exasperating. TA's are ethnic & do not understand English, so grading was relatively easy. But Molly graded certain assignments & was a tough grader.Rate My Professors ↗
I loved this class so much! She is a great professor the lectures aren't really that necessary to attend to pass the class but they are very interesting. You must read every week if you want a good weekly quiz grade and you don't want to have to go through them for the midterm and final. She tends to read off her slides a lot in lecture which is a shame because she's clearly a very intelligent person. There are a lot of moving parts in the class but she stays on top of things for the most part.
