Professor Quinn is so caring and knowledgeable, it really warms your heart. She does a great job teaching, but if you really want to learn the content (and ASL) I encourage attending the outside of class study sessions and practicing the week's content on your own at least once a week outside of class. Prof Quinn is technological challenged and doesnt always have her trip together.. BUT this course is very easy if you put a little effort in. Very causal class. Just show up and practice the signs and youll do great. Many opportunities for EC. One exam is dropped. I ended up with 100%. She is very friendly, and funny! Michelle is the sweetest woman on the planet. I want to give her a 5 because of how much I like her - but the course format was a little confusing at times. I found myself confused about what the quizzes were going to be on - but that being said she offers a TON of extra credit and I easily ended up with a 97% in the class despite my confusion.Rate My Professors ↗
Michelle is an alright professor, pretty nice and funny. She does care about her students. Lecture notes are usually disorganized. Quizzes and exams can get tough if you don't study, homework can also be hard if you don't go to lecture. Basically, if you don't go to lecture you'll miss a lot of information because the posted notes don't helpRate My Professors ↗
Im shocked at her low rating; dont know what she did 3 years ago, but this semester was FAR better! Michelle truly cares about her students. She invited those who didnt have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving to her place & cried on the last day cause she was so proud of how hardworking we were. For a 2 credit, I learned a LOT. (Plus 90% get an A!)
Interesting topic! Horrible teaching style. She's very inconsistent when it comes to presenting information. She states that we need to ask questions in class but then cuts people off when students do ask questions. SHE IS VERY DISORGANIZED!!! She can be nice in person, but quite condescending via emails.
