He's a great professor in how he delivers content. His class is well structured with lots of emphasis on active learning through exercises in class and in projects.

WisCEL holds your hand with everything. Don't let the exercises fool you, exams count the most followed by homework. You get assigned a partner in the lab that meets once every 3 weeks (I was out within 15 mins every time). Homework ranges from easy moodle quiz to impossible Quartus file. Projects generally easy. Michael is amazing and funny!

This class is incredibly difficult and you will have to work more than ever to even try to pass. His exams don't make any sense and his teaching style isn't useful for people who actually need lectures to learn. The course also does not follow the textbook and the exams are worth a large portion of the final grade.
