His lectures feel longer than they need to be, and yet attending them is still critical. Despite considerable use of R in this course, we're only taught the bare minimum required for assignments. Exam grading criteria is considerably tougher and more mysterious than homework grading. Show up to everything and do your best with what you're given.Rate My Professors ↗

Prof. Culberston was actually one of my favorite professors this semester. Culbertson. Prof. Culbertson had an excellent course layout, exams were identical to the homework and things we did in class. He is very responsive on Piazza, and attendance is not mandatory.Rate My Professors ↗

Definitely attend lectures, or you probably won't pass. The material is tough, but he does a good job explaining the material in class. Homework assignments pretty much follow the examples from lecture, and doing well on those will help keep your grades up. The class is certainly work, but it's not impossible.Rate My Professors ↗

By far the most confusing stats class I have taken. The material itself is not hard but the professor made the class impossible. He literally had the most confusing ways of explaining incredibly simple topics. His teaching style was very convoluted and all lectures were read off a script.Rate My Professors ↗

I found his slides really helpful and easy to grasp. I thought the homework grading was a little strange and inconsistent, but if you want to discuss your homework with him, he is ready and willing to help.Rate My Professors ↗

Initially I thought he was okay but his grading makes absolutely no sense. I went to all office hours to get the homework done (where the TAs basically walk through the hw) and still got Cs on a lot of assignments. He's inconsistent about grading and doesn't explain concepts to the standard that he expects you to understand them.Rate My Professors ↗
