Professor Cox is awesome and he explains biochemistry clear and in a really interesting way! I think he really is a great lecturer and relates topics to really life, really useful knowledge. The exams are fair, but to do well you need to put in lots of time to study the slides and going over the lecture caption helps A LOT!

Cox is a nice guy. Always wore a suit to lecture which was cool and a really respected teacher. The class was really tough but Cox does a good job. With cox, reading the textbook is the difference between and A and a B so read it if you have time.

Professor Cox was an average teacher. DEFINITELY do the practice exams, he recycles questions off them and the problem sets. All of our lectures were recorded which was nice, so if you're going to miss class for sure watch the lecture later. Very helpful and very thorough. Fast pace for the course but there's a lot of material to cover.

Cox is a pretty cool guy. His office hours are very helpful. He sometimes has to go through his lecture slides quickly because he runs out of time. His exams cover a ton of information, and there are some smaller details that he expects you to know.

LOVE. Really helpful and very clear - exams are very straightforward (particularly from practice exams). It also helps that the class is awesome and incredibly interesting.

Awesome professor. Clearly is interested in the content, and it is reflected in his lectures. Speaks clearly and gives fair and basic exams. Gives crystal clear goals for each lecture and plenty of practice problems. Hardly need to touch the book, as lectures are posted on iTunes. Totally recommend him and Nelson!

I can't imagine that anyone could disagree that this is one of the finest professors Madison has to offer. This is what Wisconsin is about.

Best lecturer I've ever had this university. I was worried that the material was going to be really dry, but it's not at all. He makes it really interesting. I would highly recommend this class.

Good professor. If you're any good at ochem, you'll have a pretty easy time with Cox's portion of the class. Podcasts lectures, which is awesome. Can study off lecture goals, but again, if you know ochem, going through and knowing literally all the material is not a tall order at all.

Exams are difficult but his lectures cover everything you need to know. If you actually study off of the 'Lecture Goals' you will do fine on every exam.

One of the best professors i've had at the university. Great lecturer and lets you know what you need and don't for the exams. Wrote the textbook (just about the only text used in biochemistry anywhere) so he knows the material backwards and forwards. Exams are very similar to previous years'.

A great professor. Powerpoints are very clear & interesting. His TA's do an amazing job of really stressing what you need to know for exams (and they all work in his lab..so they know what they're talking about). Provides study goals & problem sets which are very helpful too. A great guy. Exam had no surprises.

His lectures are clear and full of knowledge. Very helpful to students going be Biochem major. Fair exams, but there is no curve in this course and exams can sometimes be a bit difficult. I thought he's been teaching for more than 30 yrs. Why is there just one comment.. hm wierd.

Great teacher. Relates material to real world. Really makes material interesting. Recommended for all.
