Melody is passionate about what she teaches and is nice. Lectures are pretty much just discussions. You'll have 2 in-class written exams--closed notes. And a final project--oral presentation. Plenty of readings to do. Lecture slides are text heavy and are usually just long quotes you have to discuss. Easy course but I felt like class drags on.Rate My Professors ↗
Melody is nice... but a eh instructor. Every single icebreaker and activity was childish and nearly insulting to do as a college student. If you care about actually walking away from a class feeling like you learned something, take a different class on the EU. An okay professor. She is very kind and cares about her students. This class is VERY discussion heavy. She assigns A LOT of reading and writing based homework (which takes a long time to be graded). This class is primarily about migration especially in the second half of the semester and not as much about culture. I would not recommend this class.Rate My Professors ↗
Melody was amazing! Her lectures are great. She CARES about students and wants them to be successful. She doesn't teach to test, she teaches to engage which makes classes outstanding! Can't recommend her enough. 1 research paper, daily discussions and two in class essays. Keep up with the reading - you get WAY less out of the class if don't.Rate My Professors ↗
