About this rating

Raw average: 3.64/5 from 11 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

The most unengaging lecturer I have ever had. I literally could not bear to pay attention during most lectures. I was bored, he seemed bored, and the lack of passion for teaching led to me not caring about learning the content until I had to know it for the final. He gives out very fair tests, and the quizzes on canvas are decent.

Melih is a very unengaging professor for this course. His lectures were so god awfully boring. His slideshows were just screenshots and random information that just felt copied and pasted. I never really understood the read world connections during the course. The first midterm was easy, but everything after that was very had to follow.

Great lecturer, his notes are incredibly detailed and neat which i love as even if you forget a concept it'll be right there for easy review. Exams weren't bad if you studied well. Lots of homework to be done but do them as they add up. Also, google him when he was young, you will not be disappointed ;) He actually cares about his students. Funny.

The lectures are long and a bit dry. The class is so large that I didn't really interact with him much, but he's a decent engineering professor. Make sure to take good notes, work on some of the homework after each lecture, and make sure your statics knowledge is fresh in your mind for this class.

I really enjoyed this course and it increased my interest in mechanical engineering. He is a very warm person who is also very funny. You could even say he is "Based." I recommend attending all lectures, and doing the homework well because it is a clear indicator if you are ready for the test or not.
