Very knowledgeable and professional, yet unexpectedly humorous. Really, REALLY knows her material. Virtually never use the textbook (she says she's in the process of writing one that suits the needs of the class), but nice for supplemental reading. I was reluctant to take Contemporary Chinese Politics based on the reviews on rate my professor-pretty mediocre. Manion's lecture was one a never wanted to miss.
