Learning to research and how citations work is useful. Prof grades unnecessarily hard on the case emails and takes points off for subjective things. Doesn't give revision opportunities like some professors do in GB360 and gives pretty vague criticisms despite taking large points off. The class sucks, but Melanie is a decent professor. There is a lot of homework, but no tests. 1 presentation and 1 business report you work on for the last month. The homework is easy and busy work mainly. There is a good amount of reading, but you can skim it for a talking point for discussions. You can miss 4 classes before your grade drops.Rate My Professors ↗
This is one of the worst professors I've had. It does not help that it is also in one of the most pointless classes I've taken. The final project for GB360 is a portfolio where you showcase your best work and revise it. I am writing this on 4/29 and more than half of my course has not been graded. Gen Bus 300 is basically an easy class where you polish up your business writing skills and working on presentations. Melanie gives way too many papers to do each week and doesn't give feedback on them until way late in semester until all done and feedback can't help you.
